Techwell to Exhibit at Security 2008 in Essen, Germany

SAN JOSE, California (October 7, 2008) Security Essen 2008-Essen, Germany - Techwell, Inc. (Nasdaq:TWLL), a leading designer of mixed signal video semiconductor solutions for the security surveillance, automotive, and consumer electronics markets, today announced it will demonstrate its’ latest security surveillance IC product developments at one of the largest international trade shows for security, Essen 2008 at its Booth #116 located in the GA Hall of the Essen trade fair ground.

Techwell’s broad TW28xx product line of feature rich, highly integrated video decoders and video controller solutions address the growing CCTV Security Surveillance market. In addition to integrating 4 video decoders in one chip, the TW28xx incorporates motion detection and horizontal/vertical scaling algorithms and is an ideal front end for both the Quad/Mutliplexer and Digital Video Recorder market segments. Digital Video recorders utilizing Techwell ICs are equipped with programmable motion detection and the latest MPEG-4 compression technology which improve picture quality. Main features include pentaplex operation for simultaneous recording, playback and live view critical in security surveillance applications.

Security Essen, the No 1 International Trade Show for Security and Fire Prevention will take place October 7 - 10, 2008 in Essen, Germany. At the last show in 2006, a record number of visitors and exhibitors attended the show.
